Mid Grampian Mesolithic was founded in January 2023. Our mission is to search for evidence for Mesolithic and other prehistoric people who lived in the Mid Grampian region, to foster a passion for archaeology and the past environment, and to have fun doing it!

We collaborate closely with the Mesolithic Deeside Community Archaeology Group, and with other archaeology groups active in North East Scotland, and with academics from Aberdeen, Stirling, St Andrews Universities, and University College Dublin.
We have close links to the Aberdeenshire Council Archaeology Service.
